Owner/Business Partner Linda Stanhope – 717-638-8703,

Business Partner-Julie Lawson –

Linda and Julie are both certified pastoral counselors through Emerge Counseling Services/Ministries in Akron Ohio. Linda has served as a pastoral counselor at Freedom Christian Counseling Services housed at Freedom Valley Church, Gettysburg Pennsylvania for the past 6 years and has an Associate’s Degree in Human Services, Harrisburg Area Community College 2007.

From Linda’s personal Facebook page: I meet with clients who are searching for ways they can bridge the gap between living in this world and everything it brings, and understanding who they are in Christ. I encourage others to search the Lord and learn of His ways. We, together walk through their hurts and disappointments toward a place that brings not only peace, but understanding and fulfillment in their calling. As my clients have ventured out and placed themselves on the road that leads to life and that abundant life for which Jesus paid the price, I respectfully and prayerfully help lead them toward that goal. It is only with His guidance that this is accomplished. I remain in His service.

Angel Counseling is a part of the Angel Armor Business Network. Angel Armor is an Inspirational Jewelry company founded by Julie Lawson in 2011. Julie and Linda work together at the jewelry company creating original and uniquely beautiful pieces.  The story of the beginnings of the company can be found online at   the website offers an online store where the jewelry may be purchased. There is also a blog page. Each blog entry is an offering to our friends and customers to get to know us a little better and also be encouraged. Take a look and please share your thoughts in the comments area.

Our ultimate goal is to find a facility to house our Life Station; a place where folks may come and enjoy a cup of coffee and some “me” time, to relax or just to sit and chat with friends who will also be stopping by. We will be offering a homey friendly environment in which to take a break for a few minutes just to reflect, read or listen to music. Whatever is needed for you to refuel and continue on your day.  We will also regularly offer workshops and “how to” classes.  Currently, we are holding counseling sessions at Linda’s church just north of Gettysburg. For information please call! We will be happy to talk with you!

Thank you so much!  Linda (white shirt) and Julie(blue dress)    l (70)

The WORK is done, completed, finished!

Did you read the book, The Shack by William Paul Young? In it, he portrays Jesus wearing a tool belt. I see this as being true. Jesus is the one who has done ALL the work. The work that allows us to step into our healing, our provision, and anything we may need.  Now, if you read the words of Jesus in the New Testament, he also gives instructions. He told the man who was paralyzed to get up and walk. Really? He told his own mother to fill the wine jars with water. What? He told the lepers to go show themselves to the priests. It was forbidden for them to be in the city, much less the temple. They must have thought, is this guy kidding???  But, it was after these tasks were fulfilled that the miracles came.  Should we not ask the savior, the healer, the one who has done the work, what is it He would have us do? Jesus has completed the work of creating the miracle, He himself said that it is finished.

Sometimes there may be a specific task we may need to accomplish before the miracle can be brought to pass. Sometimes, we have done everything and just need to stand, Ephesians 6:13. At other times we may have occasion to resist the enemy, James 4:7. Whatever it is that the Lord is asking of us, we need to do completely and with obedience. His finished work has made the miracle possible.

Does the Lord expect us to jump through hoops? Not at all. But in order to see what we need come to pass, we must companion with Jesus and become part of the process. It is through this joining, that we are truly a part of Him. He invites us to be “yoked” together. Again, this is something that we must do in order for us to see our miracle. He says “take my yoke upon you and learn from me”.  Two verbs, take and learn. We GET to be part of the process! He doesn’t leave us out. He wants to be a part of our lives, the most vital part. That part that comes in the form of a personal God. He loves us that much!

When we understand that Jesus has done the work for us, it makes coming to Him so much simpler. He is waiting for us. He wants to show us what the next step is.

Do you have an experience you would like to share with our readers about a time you looked to Jesus for the next step?

How did He meet your need when that was accomplished?

We would love to hear from you!
